The Inevitable Next Clinton Presidency!

The inevitability of a new Clinton Presidency is having the deadening effect of a lead blanket Conservative Republicans. Unlike moderates and liberals of the GOP we are not fooling ourselves into believing that any of the Republican candidates, now running, have a snowball’s chance of winning against Mrs.’ Bill Clinton.

Unlike democrats who vote for whomever has a “d” by their name on the ballot. Conservative Republicans will not vote for a candidate with an “R” beside his or her name just because of the “R”. Somehow, the upper echelon of the GOP has managed to disengage itself from the base of conservative GOP voters. I choose to believe it was by design, and it was intentional. In their arrogance they came to believe it was not the conservatives who placed them in power and it was not conservatives who kept them in power until 2006… when we pulled the rug out from under them as punishment for their arrogant behavior. To this day they remain in a state of denial. They are so deeply in the throes of some other consciousness they actually believe conservative GOP voters will vote for McCain, Giuliani, and/or Romney! In reality, it will never happen.

The Old Confederacy will not vote for a northeasterner no matter how hard he worked to save New York City. Romney is about as northeastern as they come… plus he’s a Mormon. McCain insulted us in 2000 and we have not forgotten that. Plus, his efforts on the McCain-Feingold bill to restrict freedom of speech… render his chances nil. Already his campaign is fading… fast.

So what are conservatives going to do? We’re going to stay home again. Unless, the GOP “powers that be”, finally understand we want a Conservative Candidate. Without a Conservative Candidate, the GOP will not get our votes. Period! They cannot win without them.

There’s not much time left for a conservative to get into the race and have a realistic chance of winning in the primaries. The money is being sucked up faster than ever this campaign season.

Fred Thompson of Tennessee looks good to conservatives, mainly because he is the only conservative candidate of note in the GOP field. So Fred’s sick! So what? I have to tell you, knowing only what I know of Thompson, right now, I would vote for him, on his deathbed, rather than vote for any of the other GOP candidates! That is how strongly I feel about the candidates now running.

So, unless things change, and change rapidly, in the GOP field of candidates, the 2008 presidential election is lost to Mrs. Bill Clinton. I’m as sure of it as I am the sun will rise tomorrow.
